Compare Car Insurance
Auto insurance isn’t just a good idea, it’s the law. In Missouri, drivers must carry minimum liability insurance to legally operate a motor vehicle. At Sharpe Insurance, we can help you find the right amount of auto insurance to comply with Missouri law and protect your vehicle in case of an accident. From basic liability insurance to comprehensive and collision insurance, a Sharpe Insurance agent
can help find the solution that works for you.
Collision Coverage
Collision coverage protects your car in case of an accident involving another car, structure or object. We can work with you to find a premium-to-deductible ratio that makes sense for you.
Comprehensive Coverage
Unlike collision coverage, which can protect you in the event of a crash, a comprehensive insurance policy can cover damage that happens when you’re not even on the road. A comprehensive policy can cover damage from natural disasters, falling objects and vandalism or theft.
Other policy features that you might consider would be roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement coverage and personal injury insurance. A Sharpe Insurance agent will sit down with you to go over which features work best for you.
Missouri Insurance Laws
Like most states, Missouri requires that drivers carry 25/50/10 minimum liability insurance. This means you must be insured for $25,000 limit per person involved in the accident, $50,000 coverage limit per accident and $10,000 of property damage liability.
What do I do in case of an accident?
It’s important to know what to do in case of an accident.
- Make sure you and your passengers are safe. If you cannot safely exit the vehicle, stay where you are.
- If you can safely drive your vehicle, try and move to a safe area out of the way of traffic. You should turn on your hazard lights if you can. Do not leave the scene of the accident.
- Call 9-1-1. Even if there are no major injuries, you will need to file a police report to make an insurance claim. If anyone is injured, be sure that they receive the appropriate medical attention.
- Follow all of the police officer’s instructions.
- Protect yourself. Be courteous and cooperative, but do not admit guilt. Share your name and car insurance information. Do not allow anyone to photograph your license or registration.
